Paid for medical treatment, education, or fitness in 2025? You may be able to get part of your taxes back.
If in 2025 you paid for medical services, medicines, education, or fitness, you may claim a social tax deduction and recover part of the personal income tax (PIT) you have paid.
The tax refund can be claimed within the established limit, and in the case of high-cost medical treatment — for the full amount of tax paid on income equivalent to the cost of such treatment.
For example, deductions may be claimed for:
— your own education, the education of your spouse, or the education of your children, brothers, or sisters;
— medical services provided to you, your spouse, parents, or children under 18, as well as the purchase of medicines;
— a number of other socially significant expenses.
To obtain the tax deduction, you need to obtain a certificate confirming payment for services from a medical, educational, or fitness/sports organization and then file a 3-NDFL tax return, attaching the supporting documents.
If you are unsure how to properly prepare and file the tax return, feel free to contact us — we will help you claim the deduction and recover the tax.
