Increase in the redemption value of land under buildings and structures in the Moscow region
Amendments to the Resolution of the Moscow Region Government No. 639/16 dated May 2, 2012, have come into effect, changing the procedure for determining the buyout price of land plots owned by the region or held in undivided state ownership.
Under the new rules, if a building, structure, or premises located on a land plot is owned by the tenant, the buyout price of the land has increased from the previous 3% to 60% of its cadastral value.
However, a transition period has been established: tenants who signed their lease agreements before May 1, 2025, will still be able to purchase the land at the previous 3% rate—until May 1, 2026.
