• Legal support of the client’s divorce proceedings in Spain, assistance in the division of property with the spouse based on the results of the trial. As part of the project, our lawyers assisted the client in tracing assets in the Russian Federation, in determining their legal status in terms of their possible partition between the spouses in divorce proceedings, and prepared an opinion on the relevance and admissibility of the assets found between the spouses for the process in the Spanish courts.
• Legal assistance to a client in cross-border divorce proceedings, including financial litigation. Advising the client with respect to the preparation of evidence, personal testimony in proceedings before the High Court in the United Kingdom, the development of litigation strategy and management of multinational teams of lawyers involved in the project.
• Legal support of divorce proceedings and negotiation of settlement agreement for division of jointly acquired property. As most of the common property was related to the business structured through various offshore companies, the attorneys analyzed the litigation strategies and selected the jurisdiction in which to proceed, taking into consideration the client’s best interests.

Providing legal assistance to Russian and Canadian citizens for the purpose of adopting a minor child, a Russian citizen. Within the framework of the project, the Firm prepared a detailed analysis of adoption proceedings, including, if the clients will be applied for as Russian or Canadian citizens, the lawyers interacted actively with the guardianship and custody authorities.
