UK will oblige the Overseas Territories to establish a public company register

On Tuesday, 1st May, UK Parliament accepted amendments to a Sanctions and Anti-Money Laundering Bill. In accordance with these amendments British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Bermuda and another British Overseas Territories must create public company register with information about beneficiary owners by 2020. The amendments will not apply to British Crown Dependencies such as Bailiwick of Guernsey, Jersey and Isle of Man.
