The State Duma will clarify the terms of notification of the citizenship of a foreign state.

The RF State Duma has passed in the first reading a bill introducing amendments into Federal Law “On the RF citizenship” (hereinafter – “the Bill”). The Bill provides that the RF citizens residing in a foreign state (except for residing permanently) shall notify the local agencies of the Federal migration service (hereinafter – “FMS”) of the citizenship of such foreign state or of the permanent residence permit in a foreign state within 30 days after returning to the RF, unless such notification has been submitted previously.
The RF citizens, who had been permanently residing in a foreign state, but returned to the RF and registered at their place of residence, shall notify FMS of the citizenship of a foreign state or of the right to the permanent residence in a foreign state within 60 days after their return to the RF.
