On February 25, 2015 the State Duma has adopted in the first reading a Bill on increasing fines for violations in personal data protection sphere. It provides various types of violations and fines for them (lack of consent to processing, lack of published processing policy, etc.). A subject of personal data will be able to demand removal of his data or specification of their processing. Fines for companies will constitute from 15 000 to 50 000 RUR (from 219 to 730 EUR), and for violation of processing special categories of data (health, race or ethnic origin) – up to 300 000 RUR (4 380 EUR).
