Notaries will be able to receive information from civil registry offices

A federal law allowing notaries to request information from the Unified State Register of Civil Status Acts has been adopted. The Register shall be composed by January 2018. The Register is expected to contain information starting from 1926. New public notaries’ powers to request information on civil status shall mitigate risks of fraud in property transactions and estate administration, as well as reduce time and costs of citizens on obtaining of legally relevant information.
