Moscow city authorities will initiate demolition of a number of attic floors built without necessary permissions in the center of Moscow.

According to the information obtained from Moscow Central Administrative District authorities (“Prefecture”), documents for claiming demoliton of 25 unlawfully built attic floors have already been prepared. Owners of these real estate objects shall perform demolition within 2-3 months by their own resources. In case if they do not perform demolition, the attic floors will be demolished by Moscow city resources, and the owners shall be obliged to reimburse the incurred expenses. Besides, the authorities inspect flats furnished in attic floors premises, which were transferred from non-residential to residential premises.
The list of objects for demolition was prepared at the end of 2013. It can be found in Appendix No.2 to the Moscow city Government Ruling as of December 11, 2013 N 819-ПП (please see here).
