Electronic digital passport

On September 18, 2023, the President of the Russian Federation signed Decree No. 695 regarding the using a digital ID.
According to the Decree No. 695, citizens of the Russian Federation have the right to provide their electronic digital passport by using the State Services application instead of a paper version. Additionally, other documents issued by the government authorities of the Russian Federation may be used in electronic, for example SNILS and TIN.
The full list of situations when the citizens will have the right to use an electronic digital passport instead of a paper original will be determined by the Government of the Russian Federation within the next three months.
