A Bill on retrospective effect of real estate cadastral value re-evaluation has been tabled into the RF State Duma

On December 9, 2016 a Bill was tabled in the RF State Duma aiming to allow retrospective effect for the re-evaluation of real estate cadastral value. The re-evaluation would affect the tax base for the tax period in which a cadastral value was updated. Currently re-evaluation only has effect for tax base on the period after a separate application for tax base review is filed. The authors believe that such Bill shall protect the taxpayers from possible overpayments of property tax.
