A Bill increasing tax rates in relation to agricultural land plots which are not used for agricultural purposes has been introduced into the RF State Duma. According to the Bill if within two and more years a land plot is not used for intended purposes, municipal authorities will have a right to increase the tax rate up to 1.5% of the land plot cadastral value. If within the period specified by the supervisory authorities the land plot will not be used as intended, the tax rate may be increased up to 5%. Besides, it might be withdrawn. Now the tax rate constitutes from 0.01 to 0.3% of a land plot cadastral value.
